Our goal is long term recovery and we begin by helping our clients in withdrawal.
Our six day a week program helps those addicted to alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opiates to withdraw safely and comfortably. The unit is staffed by Addiction Medicine Physicians, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and a Registered Nurse. Same day admission is available.
Clients entering this program will be expected to enroll in, and complete, Intensive Outpatient Program(s) and aftercare. Because our goal is long term recovery, we do not accept clients only interested in detox who do not intend to enter a program.
At Resource Connect, we offer assistance in getting your loved one into treatment and will make referrals to any additional services that may be needed.
We encourage family involvement and work with families to provide the best possible outcomes for the clients we serve. Family members participate in private and group sessions— generally without the identified client being present—to gain knowledge and learn new behaviors that will help them better interact with their loved ones.
We know that our clients’ families need their own recovery; by offering groups and programs, couples sessions, and consultations with our staff, we hope the families we work with will get the support they need.
Substance Abuse Assessment
Substance use assessments can help families or individuals determine their likelihood of having a substance abuse problem. Any assessment findings may also be compiled in a letter to requesting authorities (attorneys or judges), spouses, or other such authorities.
Urine toxicology testing can be used by clients to verify or support their abstinence or may be required by certain vocational or legal authorities. We do in-office testing that is then sent to a lab; results are received within 24-30 hours. If test results are positive, we will work with you to make sure you get the support you need to re-establish abstinence.
Most insurance will cover the testing, and Resource Connect charges a fee to cover overhead.
Psychotherapy and Psychiatric Services
Psychotherapy referrals are given based upon need. We currently have a psychopharmacology team available for those needing psychiatric assistance; you can learn more about that here.
Certain medications have been seen to impact recovery; to insure compliance and to avoid problems within the Resource Connect community, we monitor those clients in higher-level care who are prescribed them. We will lock such medications in the Resource Connect medications cabinet and ask that our clients allow staff to observe when they take them.
Transportation and Housing
We at Resource Connect are convinced that finding meaningful work is an integral part of the recovery process. We will work with clients to find them meaningful work and can refer for employment coaching and, in some cases, skill training.
